Hi guys, what would I need for a trailer to be fitted on our Corsa please.I know absolutely nothing about them but would like some extra space for all the camping gear I appear to acquire lol ! So apart from the trailer, what else do i need please?
You will need a towbar with single electrics fitted to your Corsa (about £80 to £100) You will also need to now what the maximum weight is that you can tow for an unbraked trailor, this should be in your owners handbook.

------------- Some people have nothing much to say, but you often have to listen for a while before you realise it!
You will need a towbar complete with ball and a single electric socket fixing on your car. Professionally fitted it can be quite expensive, i.e. roughly £150 ish. You can get used towbars but they have to be fitted by a competent person. Not sure about current regulations, but I think you also need a seperate chain or cable fixed to a bracket on the towbar and to the trailer in case it ever comes unhitched.
------------- As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two...
Thanks for advice so far guys. I was thinking of the Erde 122 from Halfords. I dont think they have all the parts I might need,so are there any good deals you may know of for the towbar ? And do I need a number plate? Have also seen jockey wheels, would I need one of those? A lot of questions I know but you guys are so helpful.
they are similar trailers - caddy, made by towsure is another
towsure do good towbars at a good price and usually not difficult to fit. have fitted bars to about 6 cars now with no problems. was quoted £300 to have a bar fitted to my lagaun, got the bar and wiring kit for £120
You don't need a jockey wheel, they stand on the wheels and the trailer bar just rests on the floor. To move them, you just pick up the trailer bar and pull it, it's well balanced.
I've got an Erde 142 and for storage I stand it on it's end.
Even though the lights are recessed to allow this, the lamps still break, so I got a removable thingy with the lights on it. Sorry Alzheimers stops me remembering the proper name for it.
Have you thought of using a roof rack especially if you have a older car
I have been looking at a x-rack and a HandiRack they will fit most vehicles so no cost when you change cars start from £30+pp add a soft bag and Tarpauline
