I have my Cadac all ready for it's first outing! However, I tried it with a spare bottle and the wind (it was quite windy) just kept blowing the flame out! .... even with the lid on! ... is this normal!
At the weekend it will be hooked up to the caravan gas outlet with a full bottle of propane so will see if the spare bottle was just a bit low, but I thought I'd ask just in case a wind break is required!!
mine is the same just needs a slight wind and off it goes.. even with a windbreak around it and me..
but still a fab bit of kit that i would not be without..
mmmm cooked the chicken n veg mmm very very nice makes a good chilli makes the campers nextdoor very hngery when all they can smell is the chick cooking
------------- Does a full 140g bar of Dairy Milk count as part of my 5 a day??

I spoke to Cadac at the NEC show and he said it sounds as if the plastic valve inside is distorted and not allowing enough flow. He said I can get a replacement from Cadac and that it's a known issue.
I haven't even been able to use it yet! but will attempt this solution.
We have the Safari Chef Deluxe & we have the same issue. It will not even boil water on a blowy day. I ended up making a wind sheild. I will not be replacing it when it falls to bits. I don't rate Cadacs in spite of all the hype.
The Cadac - like any gas appliance - can be sensitive to excessive wind.
Make sure it's a bit shielded though and they''re fine (assuming you've got enough gas getting through).
Despite other's comments on here as far as I'm concerned they're vastly easier and quicker than a Cobb - and have far more usable cooking space (depending on model). Currently I've got a Safari-Chef (my second of these) and a Carri-Chef. I've rarely had problem with wind on either.
