hi they are usually dead easy to use - one dial sets the time and the other sets the temperature. thay can be used to cook anything you can cook in your oven at home -but they tend to cook quicker!.you can use metal cooking tins and glass casserole type dishes in them and they make great all in one roast dinners.- put your meat in frist and then you can put your spuds etc roung your meat, you only ned to brush them with oil. they really are great for camping - you need to play really to see how and what you can do with them. Ive made cakes, pies, casseroles, roasts, pizzas, full english breakfasts, chips etc etc in mine all by trial and error!! (not much error though) - just remember to keep an eye on things so they dont burn. Usually they have safety mechanism on -if the handle is up they want work.
the instructions which do come with them arent really up too much anyway so youre not missing much
hope this helps Nina
