Enables a Mains Hook Up Lead for caravans, motorhomes, folding campers or Mobile Mains Unit tents, trailer tents to be connected to a 240v 13 amp power point eg house power point or garage power point etc.
You use your existing EHU then buy another male/female (I don't know which one) but it needs to fit into the end you would normally plug in on site. Now using the new fitting and a length of proper weight/amp cable and a plug make a wee mini extension.... Plug into the house connect to the EHU and bobs your uncle.
I got my fitting from CEF (City Electrical Factors)
------------- Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder
we have a "garage" fitting which just lets you plug the lead directly into this socket and thus the mains as a permenant fitting.
the ones though above are fine for temporary use
Ebay is not always that cheap, i tend to check out the price of thinks at local camping shops and internet sites before ebay as i have found ebay P&P costs more than the item it's self on small items.
we have one, got it from gooutdoors. you can pick them up in most camping shops with the electricals. didnt cost much. we bought one with our EHU unit so that we can use it when we camp in garden.
at £5 its not worth making one, to get a plug, is about 3.50, a 13A plug another 50p, then the bit of cable, and time making it, you might safe a few pence.
I made my own, but 16A ceeforms are somthing I have laying around anyway!
