We went on our first ever caravanning trip in our 1997 Bailey Senator 9000 last week and we seemed to learn our way round everything really quickly however the casstte toilet and chemicals are still puzzling us.
We put the blue stuff in the toilet itself along with some water but we cant find anywhere to put the pink aqua rinse stuff in. We think our flush works off the water tank and we don't think it would be wise to put the aqua rinse in the main water tank!? Does anyone have any suggestions in case we're completely missing the point?!
PS we have read the Bailey manual but it's still not very clear.

Hi, you are right in that some of them run off the main water tank and it means you can only use chemical in the holding tank.
Maybe this is where the famous UKCS Meet "Pink Stuff" originated from.
It is not a mixture of Baccardi and Rum but really it is just Toilet Flush!!!!
Our toilet flushes directly from the Aquaroll,we just use the blue in the lower tank & flush with the fresh water lust like a loo at home. It's really only the blue thats needed to break down the 'additions' to the water & that has enough fragrance to mask any niffs! Never saw the point of adding anything to the upper tank in the conventional 2 tank toilets, after all the upper tank was only fresh water anyway.
The Aquaroll does get used up more quickly so we have a second water container filled alongside as a spare.

Nah.. nothing like really, the pink toilet chemical is way too weak to be in the same league.....

Hi if your van doesnt have a flush tank for the loo ie water comes direct from the main onboard tank Ala Swift, either do without the rinse aid or mix up some in a spray bottle and sqirt it on toilet bowl with the spray bottle.

When you add the blue stuff to the cassette don't add water. You are weakening the solution. You need it's full strength to break down all the waste matter you put into it.
------------- Beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder
Instructions say to add, I think, 2 litres of water. You do need a certain amount of water to cover "things" ! Covering things also helps to reduce the possibility of smells.
I think most people will find they need to empty the cassette before the blue has had enough time to do any "breaking down" , so really it is just keeping things hygenic and keeping smells at bay.
the pink rinse stuff that would normally go in the water tank is used not only for flushing but also to help keep the rubber seals lubricated to prolong there life, and to keep the sliding trap door lubricated too..

It may well do so, but it is not essential. Our last van had no flush tank, so no pink. Our seals lasted 6 years, and we had no problems with the blade. You can lubricate with other stuff if necessary.

Thats why I put the pink stuff in a spray bottle!
------------- IAN avant d,i,y er try to help if i can.
Yes, we have the same on our new van, but we don't bother with the Pink. Not yet being used to having a flush tank, we keep forgetting to fill it and run out of water at the most inconvenient times!
