Glad i could be of some help to some of you. The item is too tall for what i want. i am looking for a shorter one but i will continue to post any items i find and think my fellow campers will be interested in.

If anyone finds a shorter version for a good price i would be please to hear about it.

Thanks

Nick

I love my larder. I'm surprised no-one's getting theirs for £19. I put in an offer early on for £19 and it was accepted. Mine has one velco strap which isn't right (two bits the same, rather than two different bits that stick together), but it doesn't affect the larder at all. Think I'll stitch a button on that one anyway. I'm really pleased with my purchase, as is my OH.

We got our's this AM and paid £19.75 for it. Litterally gob smacked at the quality for the money, equally as good as the Outwell one's we've seen at Go Outdoors. The only thing I can find wrong with ours is the velcro straps at the bottom do not seem long enough but it doesn't affect it's functionality at all.

How sturdy is it though? Are the shelves strong?

Ours came last night (yesterday but the neighbour who took it in brought it round last night) and it is massive. Plenty of space in side. Bought ours for general storage. One of the poles on ours is a bit of a tight fit in the plastic corner fittings, but not a problem. As for the top it would be easy to get a board made up for extra storage. Though don't think I recommend putting a kettle on top.

What are the shelves made out of though? Are the going to buckle and sag if you put any weight on them i.e food cans, frying pans etc.

Mine was delivered on Monday, got it for £19 which seems reasonable

I am being honest, i do not have much experiance with this equipment but it seems not too bad for the money.

Compared to the Outwell equipment, the materials used are not a patch on them but as a package, it seems very good.

Yes like a lot of people, the velcro is not long enough to really get a grip around the lower poles but easily fixed and with a bit of weight, they may be ok.

The shelves are made of a thin board. hard to say its wood and will buckle with any significant weight. Personally i would not put food cans on it and will be keeping it for clothing (and all the bags from the equipment).

I can only speak about the one i received but the shelves don't fit very well. Easily fixed with a saw.

All in all, for me it was only £19 and was worth the money. Would have preferred Outwell but for the next season, the money saved will go to other things like beer

Our shelves don't fit fantastically either, but they do 'function' fine. I think they'd take more weight than you think, sure I wouldn't store my 16lb bowling ball on the shelf but it did hold my wife's 10lb ball. it'd certainly hold a fair few cans.

£19 - its a bargain.

I agree about the shelves. Think OH is going to trim them down. Again I didn't buy this for heavy stuff to be put on the shelves. Wouldn't take alot to reinforce the shelves if you wanted to. For £20 it fits the bill for what I wanted it for.
