This may sound a little dim but are there places that do tent repairs? We have a Gelert Quebec and on our second erection (ahem!) the tent one of the black webbing loops that the peg goes into ripped away from the groundsheet and left a gaping hole.  Has the tent had it?

Hya Clazzy

There must be a firm near you who offer repair services. However, if there isn't, we've used Kingswood canvas in Bristol many times. They've always been nothing short of excellent with everything they've done for us. Jobs ranged from simple repairs to our awning, through alterations & up to making us a complete annexe.

Google Kingswood Canvas, they're the firm in Douglas Road, Bristol BS15.          Tel 01179601281.

Another company we've used for commercial work for our lorries as well as being customers in their camping section. Try www.attwoolls.co.uk They have a superb repair & manufacturing department. They're based in Gloucestersire, less than 5 minutes from J13 of the M5.

A simple courier job to get your tent to them would sort the job out if you're too far away from either option.

If it's difficult for you to locate a tent repairer, a boating sail maker can do the more straightforward repairs to canvas and could be an alternative. We used the latter service in Essex some years ago now and were pleased with it. Unfortunately the person is no longer trading now though there must be several others in this area, with so much coast line.

What light? I'm still looking for the tunnel.

Hi Clazzy74 & welcome to the forum

If you live in the north of England, you could contact tentawningclinic who are in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Alternatively, ask at your local camping shop whether they do a repair service, or if they can recommend a local repairer.
