Again, probably been asked before but I can't find it on search...

Can't seem to get this little blighter to light. Piezo 'clicks' when pressed but I have read that you have to visually check for an actual spark...except I can't work out where to look for it. Entire front of unit is solid, except for a thin slit at the bottom - is this where to look? Or through the grill at the top? Assume spark should be near the piezo button i.e. towards left?

Also if I need to get the front off to check/ replace the piezo, how do I detatch it? It feels like the cover is all one piece, so I can only assume I have to undo the little hex screw on the top right of the unit and remove the top before I can remove the front?

Thanks

Mel

heres the manual ,enjoy
the ignitor is a simple device so a good squirting with wd40 and leaving it to dry may well work they get sticky with dust.

i have found 2 heaters where the fault was a loose wire it seems common.
the fire is probably choked up with fluff anyway so a good hoovering may well let you see the flame window ,one was choked with dogs hair (not my dog)to an inch deep of the bottom

Yeah I;ve got that! Unfortunately it tells you nothing about working the darn thing, just installing it, and someone already did that ;) Now, if onyl it told me how to UNINSTALL it lol

So, where do I squirt the oil, down the side of the button?

Definitely lots of dog hair about, so if I can work out how tho get the front off it might well do ok from a hoovering...

in the slit at the bottom there is a little glass window 3/4 wide ,thats the viewing area .you might strugle to see a spark ,

where your knob is in the picture you have to turn it 1/2 a turn to where the cut out is and hold it down .then click the other one till lit and hole it down after its lit for 10-15 seconds , there is a knack to it , but once mastered its a doddle .

Cripes, half the idea of getting a caravan was to save ourselves the contortions required in a tent I shall attempt to get my spine in such a position as I can see the ickle window and thence pray for a spark!!!

I have read the starting instructions online somewhere, but the previous peeps didn't use gas, so suspect all the lines are VERY empty, and the fridge manual says you might have to hold the knob in for sometime before there's enough gas to light, and although I could see a spark in there I didn't manage to get that to take! Am probably being far too '2000s' and cautious - bloomin Health & Safety conscious age we live in, we've all turned into wusses! Have managed the hob, grill and oven so definitely 'cooking on gas' - will try to be brave and give it a bit more welly!!!
