This is a problem many caravanners have. The answer seems to be to use a freestanding motorhome awning - but not a campervan one as they only seem to go to 210 cms.

The Isabella Minor porch awning is available in a low version (burgundy only); to fit caravan height 210 - 230cm.

Lovely porch awning, bad news is the price, but you may be able to shop around and find previous years stock at some retailers?

We used to have a full Nr awning on our old van and it was very good and definitely value for money.

Also we have a dorema hilton porch which fits 225-250 heights on the for sale board

Well thanks to this site we have now got ourselves a very nice-looking porch awning which we hope to get a lot of use out of in the months and years to come.
