I'd check out Maplins website as they have a large range of electrical equipment and you can also ask technical questions before you buy.

I use one off the cool-box transformer to power chargers etc. Works a treat.

We have a 3-way one and we've powered, DVD, DS's and SatNav at once with no problems.

You should check the fuse rating of the supply to the socket. A lot of cars are only 10 amp, so you should make sure you don't exceed that with the items you plug in at the same time.

I have a 3-way with each one switched. I run the sat nav and the iPod off it when we are moving. A very useful accessory.

LIDL are doing one at the moment - it has 3 x 12v sockets plus a USB port.

Can't remember how much it costs but I bet it's a lot cheaper than Maplins etc !

How much are they there then?

Check the fuse rating on the car lighter socket & count up the current rating on the appliances.  Don't go over the rating or you'll blow the fuse.  Make sure you have some spares just in case.
