I am assuming! You will have gas ? I think you would be better off with a gas heater (heat wise and financially)

Don't use one, you'll not get the engine started the next day.  Do not even think of using one on a leisure battery - you'll wreck it.  Buy a gas heater or get mains electric hook up & a fan heater.

My dog is more effective at warming a tent up than these things - I feed him on Baked Beans and then position him near a lit candle  The poor souls who had the early air-cooled  VWs used to buy them

Somewhere I've got a battery fan heater spare - you can have it as long as you want to run the car engine all night!!!!!! Seriously, the only use I ever had for it was in the Landrover to demist the rear window.

Gas realistically is the only route unless you go for EHU - which may not be viable or possible. A few people round here tend to assume everyone camps where hook up is available!

I used one of these on a camping gaz bottle...

A lot cheaper to run than a cartridge heater and stable on the heavier bottle. It does create condensation (any unflued gas appliance will) and ovbiously common sense is needed for safety.
