Apart from washing a few bits out by hand, I only wash if we'e away more than a week - and then it's just one trip to the launderette mid-way through the holiday. Always packed enough for a week, and if the kids ran out of anything meantime we made a quick trip to the nearest charity shop (or Ethel Austins if it was underwear . )

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
we couldn't fit many clothes on hols last year (got a bigger car this time thank god lol) so were washing constantly (kids are 3 & 2), Then we twigged, wait till you have a huge bag full. Find the local launderette, hand bag to them. Pick up at end of day, pay £12 (cheaper than onsite!), all clean and nice smelling and folded for you!
I always swore that I wouldn't do a load of washing on holiday - unitl I had sicky bedding to deal with, so had to do a load of washing. Realised how easy it was to use the campsite facilities. I will now do a load mid stay. To my mind it is worth the fiver to go to the laundry, shove the washing in, go back to my tent and have a cuppa and sit down for 30 minutes. go back to laundrette transfer to drier, go back to tent and relax again for another 30 minutes, and then be able to go and collect a nice dry load of washing.
