Hi, I am thinking of getting a mini oven, can anyone recommend the one in argos? i had a look on the reviews and they are quite good but would be willing to pay a wee bit more if something a lot better! I am not looking for one to cook a meal from scratch or anything just one that will heat pizza, pies etc for the kids.
I will keep an eye out in Lidl's then, I am after one of their cool boxs too!! It's funny cos I've probably seen these things in there time after time and not given it a 2nd thought!! I've got no patience I just want the thing's now and to go camping tomorrow!! Easter is so far away!!
I bought the cheapest one they did in Argos (around £20). I disabled the timer fitted on it with a screw drilled into it, and it worked a treat for cooking ready made pies/pizza/oven chips/jacket spuds etc etc. Was quite low power so never tripped our ehu but was only realistically big enough for dinner for 2. But small size meant easy to find space for and light weight. I would recommend one for camping but be aware it is way too small for a family sunday roast! If you do not want ehu all the time ou could cinsider a cobb bbq - it will roast or bbq food for 4 (just about lol) and runs on charcoal
We bought the Lidl one last year, see gallery images, and it's been brilliant. It was under £20 and we even used it at home over Christmas. Not huge but we're a family of four and we have cooked everything from pies to pizzas and jacket spuds in it. Wouldn't be without mine now. Just waiting for the camping weather to start again and I shall have a bash at a Sunday roast!
------------- If you have a problem stressing you, sort it. If you can't, there's no point worrying about it coz it won't make a blind bit of difference!!!! Jules

Life isn't a rehearsal, be all you can be, follow your dreams and live life to the full!!
We bought one from Lidl`s last year when they were £19.99, used it on our hols last year brilliant. Later on in the year they had them in again at £24.99 but still worth it at that price, they must be good because they sell out very quick.
Thats the only prob with Lidl its case of right time right place!! I always check out the bargains but at the time you think I don't need that then by the time you have convinced yourself there all gone!! It's also inconvienent that they don't have a website you can order from, normally I would just pop in every week to see but off the road at the mo as have broken foot! I am after a coolbox as well so just hope I am lucky and that I don't miss out!!
I have the lidl oven and its fantastic!! Before the lidl one had a mini oven from wlkinsons and that was also v good for just 2 of us - but just that little bit too small for 4 of us.
