Hi pompeyjas.
My advice is go for a none Sky box, as the tuners do not need as much signal to get you a picture, also the BBC signals come from the Astra 2D satellite, which in theory is a spot beam onto the UK, so as David Klyne says, you will need a bigger dish, I have used an 80cm down at Frejus and Antibes, perfect for the BBC, you may get away with a 60cm, so long as it has got a decent Lnb fitted, problem with using a 60cm for the BBC is that you may loose the signal in the evening, as this is when the satellites alter there attitude in order to optimize the positioning of the solar arrays, if you go back into some of my threads, you will find out more detail regarding UK satellite in France.
