just returning to camping i know u should neva cook in tent and doubt i'll use a utility tent does everyone keep moving cooker in and out of tent each time they cook? i used to thinkins my gear would go walkies if i didnt! I will need to warm milk up for my little boy as early as 5am average any ideas?? i used to use a bottle warmer on ehu with daughter suppose i could do that ideas please
Depends on the site you are at, cooking equipment doesn't usually get stolen (unlike beer!), most campers respect each others equipment and leave it out, in fact gas bottles should be left out the tent anyway for safety reasons. Use a small gas stove to warm a pan of water for the bottle early morning.
Thanks for tip can't wait get back out did step up to caravanning but as i sell em i need a break from em lol.
seriously though well wen i can be that is! i will just see how i all goes got to pitch new tent yet lets hope for a good season so i wont mind cookin outside
Why not boil a pan of water before you go to bed then put it in a thermos. By 5am it will still be warm enough to heat baby's bottle, and you could sort his feed out inside the tent, without having to step outside into the chilly morning air, or having to turn a cooker on inside the tent.

yes kinda thought of that will try it still i suppose i could walk the dog at that time
thanks claud I like this site it helped me pick my tent and like this forum i may well be askin u for more tips untill i get back in the groove n used to it
If you have a cook stand and cooker outside the tent consider a barbecue cover for overnight or get a ripstop groundsheet and make your own, as said before, boiling water and flasking it will be warm enough for babies bottle in the morning, camping is all about learning new ways and compromise, but there is always a way, don't worry about asking, we've all been there

thats exactly what we used to do at home - to save going downstairs and boiling the kettle in the middle of the night! by the time we took her camping she didn't need a warmed bottle anymore.
