We have purchased an pro action tent off ebay to find we have been sold it without an inner tent! We have emailed and spoken to argos where it was originally puchased at length to try and find out where we can arrange to purchase a spare inner tent for the 6 person multi screen tent.  At them moment we have had no joy - can anyone help as to where we can contact to purchase an inner tent for this tent - thanks

Hi Sue and welcome .

Have you spoken to the ebay seller yet ?

Maybe they have just forgotten to pack the inner tent . In any case you should be entitled to your money back if it wasn't mentioned in the description . Goods not fit for the purpose.

Apart from argos there wouldn't be anywhere else I would have thought you could buy another one from. They don't usually sell spare tent parts though, so wouldn't hold much hope of getting one .

the only other thing I can think of is to look for a similar sized inner tent from another tent model, and maybe adapt the fixings . They do come up on ebay sometimes , but you may wait a long time before you find one suitable.

TBH I would return it to the seller & get a refund to buy another tent maybe even another brand & retailer. Argos are renowned for having such bad customer service & anything returned just goes into a large warehouse without being checked.

Maybe a smiliar tent but not Pro-action?

Another option would be to buy another from ebay and then you have a spare canvas if needed plus spare poles.

Sue,

It's not what you want to hear, but give up now! Pro-Action tents from Argos are cheap and unlikely to give you a good camping experience. Even if you find an inner tent (which is unlikely) you'll probably regret it. You should have come here first and read the forums!

I suggest you try and get your money back, and if not, hoping that you didn't pay more than a few pounds, scrap it and try again. There are plenty of real tent bargains out there, but none them come from Argos.

Sue, lol totally agree with Astronaut, but didn't like to say.

Everyone I know who's had a Pro-action tent hated theirs and replaced them the following year with a much better quality tent

I agree with them all, sorry

If you were to be able to get inners for it then you may find they are a lot more than you would have paid for the tent.

I would email the seller and tell them you are not happy and would like to return the tent and have your money back - if it was not mentioned in the auction.
if you get no joy from the seller start a dispute with eBay and let them sort it out for you.

I would also use your refunded money to buy something a little more likely to cope with the lovely British summer.

boogi11 - yes!

Sue - suggest you follow Keely's advice, if it wasn't mentioned in the auction blurb, you have been miss sold, get your money back and buy a different tent.

I think if I were you, i'd contact the seller as its got the bedroom missing. To be brutally honest, I think the seller has seen you coming. Its a glorified gazebo, not really an effective tent. I saw one of these in action last year at lakeland, and the family using it were less than impressed with it - so much so they went home 3 days early to buy a real tent and start again. I do feel sorry for you. Hope you can get a refund.

Edited to add.

Theres a seller on ebay selling the whole tent without poles or pegs for 49.99

Heres the item number 220370559952

Hope this helps.

You could try taking it back to Argos...They won't give money without the receipt but they will probably give you a voucher to the cost.
