I have a Conway trailer tent kitchen which I am interested in swapping for a lighter version. Hubby says it too heavy, so does anyone have a camping cooker, kitchen, larder and washing up stand they want to swap? The kitchen only needs a new lid.
Thanks
Jackie

You do know you can't use the TT trailer without the kitchen unit attached to it, if it was designed to carry a kitchen, yes? The axle on the models with kitchen is in a different place from the axle on the trailers that were not designed to carry a kitchen. If you take the kitchen off, the trailer will ride nose down.

Jackie's post does say this is a Conway trailer tent kitchen to swap, and her outfit details state Rapido folding caravan, so maybe not a problem?
How on earth anyone would transport a Conway trailer tent kitchen without actually having use of a Conway trailer tent, is another matter altogether!
Just saying...you'd be surprised how many Conway owners post about this sort of thing in the TT forum and don't know about the axle-trailer balance thing.
I've seen the big Conway kitchens being dragged out the back of transits before now. They're not that big with the legs folded up. Two man job to lift one though!
i found my kitchen on a raclet tt to heavy to lift on my own so i have done away with it and bought a double gas cooker and stand there is loads more room in the trailer now. my kitchen bit did not fit on the back like some models but inside so weight wise no difference.
