Hi There,

This is my first post so please bare with me if I make a hash of it!!!

Here goes, we started camping last year and loved it to bits. Over the winter I have been buying various bits of kit to make the experience even better, one of these being a Royal EZ4000 fridge which I bought off a lovely couple on E-bay. This weekend I decided to test the fridge using the gas option but the gas connection nut thing (sorry don't know the official name) which came with the fridge is ever so slightly too big to thread onto the outlet pipe on the back of the unit. I have managed to get a connection by using some PTFE tape so I could test the fridge and it functions great. My concern is that the joint might leak over time and want to get hold of the correct fitting. I have tried a couple of local camping/caravan places local to Doncaster and have drawn a blank. Any ideas where I might be able to get the correct fitting and has anyone got or could point me in the direction where I might get hold of an instruction booklet for the fridge. Unfortunately it didn’t come with one.

Thanks everyone

Neil K

Hi Neil,

I'm in the same predicament as yourself, did you manage to find out what fitting it is on the back of the fridge

Cheers

Rich

Hi Rich,

No didn't get any posts on the subject and still have the same problem albeit I have improved the situation by wrapping as much ptfe tape around the thread and hand tighten the nut. If I use a spanner it just pops the thread and you need to start again!! It still leaks but have the fridge outside and try to use EHP as much as possiable. Be good to have a better solution though!!!

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the update, if I manage to get something sorted i'll let you know. Just a point of interest, I have an O grill, now marketed as Marco grills (marco pierre white) and its the same fitting on my O grill as the fridge if you want to use the O grill on a cylinder, mine came with a pre formed hose but on the marco grills you can buy a cylinder converter which is basically a hose and a propane regulator on one end and the screw adaptor on the other so in theory one of these should work for the fridge, they are about a £10 to £15 on the internet but i'd like to see either a kit or a Marco grill 'in the flesh' just to make sure the design hasn't changed since I got mine which was marketed under the kingsford brand.
