Just used ours for the first time - marvellous piece of kit! and fairly compact which suits us fine.  Dont know about the self-cleaning part though, or maybe we werent doing it right - anyway, a purchase I'm delighted with!

Yes it's a fantastic bit of kit and have had loads of use out of mine and also had lots of interest from others when using it.

Mine sort of self cleans , i just give the grill plates a quick wipe over before i use it then give them a proper clean after a trip away.

I also think it's the best bit of kit I have bought in a long time.

I put some paper and a couple of bits of charcoal in the drawer and soak it in lighting fluid.Close it up leaving the drawer open a bit and also open at the top by about 5 or 6 inches then light the fluid.

This works really well , i tried fire lighters but were not as good.
