HI,

We had the idea of using a small utility tent for our trailer tent kitchen rather than spending hrs putting up the whole awning if it's just a short stop over.

Has anyone any experience with these utility type tents and could suggest a good one, are they reliable or do they just let water in and blow away on a typical English camping weekend?!

I've got an Outhouse utility tent. I use it when on an extended stay with my caravan to stop cluttering up the awning. It is very good. Keeps the rain out, is good in winds if pegged down properly and could take a basic camp kitchen. There is a ventilation window at the rear.

Not to expensive either.

I've had a Sunncamp Day Room for a few years. It was excellent, but is starting to leak a bit now at the seams and needs attention. It has stood up to some  very bad weather - winds and rain.

There are now many different types to choose from, all the major tent manufacturers produce at least one version. They generally stand up to the British climate very well, much better than a gazebo would.
