Been looking at the Vango Tundra 250 sleeping bags for myself and my partner, Wanted to know if anyone else has these and what are there thoughts on them. We are looking to only camp between end of April and Sept. I think these are rated as 2 Seasons and the spec is below.
Suggested Usage: +10 to +25oC Performance: 1-2 season Maximum User Height: 185 cm Dimensions: Length 210/ Chest Width 75/ Foot Width 75 cm Total Weight: 1250 (Excl sac 1150) g Fill Weight: 1x250 g/m2 Pack Size: 30x23 cm Zip: Left-hand & right-hand
These will be used with flock airbeds as well so not sure if they will get the cold damp in the morning as some sleeping bag's do.
I think you'll get very cold in these. They are only 1-2 season and the comfort rating is only down to 10'C. Very much bags for high season only, or abroad.
As to the damp, if you use a fleece blanket + fitted sheet on top of the airbed this will cut down the condensation between you and the airbed (this is your sweat) and thus reduce the damp.
Is there any other bags that are on a budget and the same size as above but with a better rating. I know you get what you pay for but we dont want to brake the bank

Forget these just realised you have no room to move your feet, i would end up in knots
------------- were caravaning but now tenting and now back to a caravan
LOL in knots, I am looking for a sqaure bad as i am a big guy so need the room. Cant find much out there apart from the ones i have allready posted. Was thinking of still just getting these and then some extra warm covers to go over us
Still looking around i am, Just found these on the link below for £14.50 but not sure how good these will be for the price and what they compare agenst the Vango ones above. We haver a small budget you see at the min http://www.awnings.co.uk/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=64

A big NO to these bags. They are for use in a caravan or for sleepovers. See thar cotton cover? You'd end up lying in a soggy pool of your own sweat. Proper camping bags have a one-way moisture transmitting layer ie your sweat passes through it as water vapour, but condensed sweat doesn't come back in.
I have to say that whatever your budget is, the two places never to cut corners is on the tent and your sleeping bag. Practically everything else you need can be borrowed from your house/bought at the charity shop/scrounged/improvised, but you really, really need to be dry and to be warm at night.
Cheers for the feedback pete, They seem the same sort of spec as the vango ones above. I have a tight budget you see but as you have said they are ok i might just get them for now
