Someone said in different thread that easy lock tiles are no good "when they are on a groundsheet the ground has to be perfectly flat" (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=6&TopicID=153313&SearchPagePosition=1&search=tiles&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Topic&forum=6&searchSort=dateDESC&ReturnPage=Search).

However, will they be any good if I put them under a groundsheet, or instead of a groundsheet?

Dunno, but I was looking at something similar - only lightweight - recently in B&Q, minus the holes, and was thinking they might be good as insulation,under an airbed, or as warm flooring in a tent.

Might be a bit bulky, though?

Reckon if you tried to do your entire tent floor (in the ones posted in the link) it might weigh a ton...

Dear Liddenham

About 3 years ago when I joined UKCS someone suggested buying a roll of insulation material as used under laminate flooring.

They said it was excelent insulation under airbeds.

Any idea if this is true?

Certainly sounds ok and I suppose easy to roll and pack away.
