I have just changed from a double stove to a couple of suitcase stoves.  I like them and plan on using them more often.  Trouble is I need a windsheild now, all the ones I've looked at appear not to be wide enough.  I dont mind buying a new kitchen unit as mine is about dead, so an integral one would also do but I can find any measurements for the actual windshields.

Can anyone help?  What windshield do you use with a couple of these suitcase stoves?

I use one of these kitchenstands for the 'main' suitcase stove. I put the second one on an ordinary table with a folding windshield propped behind as and when I need to use it.

I have tried using a suitcase stove inside a conventionally sized, three sided wind shield but found I had a lot of wasted space inside the shield which I couldn't really do anything sensible with!

I use one of these although the stoves have to face one another (knobs facing) rather than side by side but it doesn't cause a problem as there's still enough room to get to the knobs.

That looks like an interesting idea. Is there enough ventilation room around the stoves then, so that they don't heat each other?

I used to sell these stoves and so have one myself, our kitchen stand ( gelert with windshield) can fit two facing each other or each facing the same way that way the canisters are at one end only you would have to heat them for along time to cause a problem, basic cooking shouldn't cause any problems.

Surely the canister in situ in the stove itself would be closer than another canister in the other stove?

Peggy, I don't know. What is on my mind is that there are warnings/diagrams about the importance of the stoves being properly ventilated written on the top of of my  stoves eg no overhanging pans, allow 20 cms gap to the one side etc.

PS Both my stoves are a few years old now. They are one of the well known makes eg BrightSpark, Sunngas, but can't remember which at the moment.
