Thursday 23rd of April looks like the start of Camping specials in Lidl.

They're doing a tent,table,mats,coolbox.

I could be wrong, but the specials are already on the N Ireland lidl site and its usually the same as the rest of the UK.

It is gardening stuff over here but it also includes a 4 x 3 metre tarpaulin with rope for £2.99! Might be worth a look as we are considering going down the DIY canopy route.

We have the camping gear in ours this week.

The tables are pretty good for €12.99 and the stove cookers are €14.99

The coolboxes look decent too

Not sure I would fancy their tents though lol

They also have mats, headlamps, pop up tents, radios and some other bits

I just bought a roll of the clear weather proof repair tape, coming in handy as I ripped the porch when it got stuck in a pole joint last week.

Bought one of their sat systems last year. Used it (or tried to) over a weekend but returned it and got my money back.

I found it too fiddly and hard to keep a decent picture. It didnt like other vans, tents, trees, wind, or rain.
Have now settled for an aerial and a freeview box (and several cans of beer of course).

Others swear by them, but not for me!

Aldi have got outdoor gear on offer at the moment - waterproof jackets and such like. They might be good for lightweight spares for the summer/dry months (if we ever get some)

Have to disagree bought mine last year also ,used it first time over Easter it worked a dream even in high winds I used a tripod, think that may have helped

Went for a drive today and ended up in Montrose (as you do). Went in to Lidl on the off chance that next week's offers were on early..............they were!!!. Bought 4 of the Camping Barbies, so that's the next 20 years holidays taken care of!

Camping stuff is in Aldi from today. Jus tbought 2 waterproof duffle bags that I htought woudl be good for the kids' wetsuits, towels and beach shoes. Oh, and two camp beds just fell into the trolley along with two bottles of their version of Summer Pimms!

Will keep a look out! Sometimes I walk in and back out with nothing, as they have run out, I swear they only have 1 or 2 of the best deals just to tempt you in!
