I wanted to ask where you get your bottles refilled? Im in Liverpool. We have 2 gas bottles, But need to now where to go, Do I just take my bottle down to them?

Whats a reasonable price. Sorry for all the Questions!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

First of all, what type of gas is it: Campingaz? Calor Gas butane (blue bottle)? Calor Gas propane (red bottle)?

If you shake/sway the bottle then you should be able to hear any liquified gas inside it. You can get guages that supposedly tell you how much gas there is, but I believe that they are useless.

In UK it is easier to exchange your empty Calor Gas bottle for a full one (more outlets) but it's not difficult to find somewhere for Campingaz. On the continent you will not find Calor Gas.

Anyway, let us know what type of bottle you have.

For calor gas, have a look in the phone book for Bottled Gas suppliers or check with builders merchants; also - have you got a regulator? That screws or clips onto the gas bottle to regulate the pressure flow, and you will need to match the regulator to the bottle.

Calor bottles appear to be the most popular ones supplied on camp sites. Calor Butane gas (blue) uses a 21mm regulator and the propane is interchangeable with other gas suppliers.  Macgas butane bottles us a 20mm regulator and flogas offer bottles to suit 20mm & 21mm regs.

Buy from an outlet that sells your brand and you pay for a refill, if you don't have an empty or not the right empty, you may incur a cylinder charge.

Try a search on the computer for your make of gas, then choose the area you're in and you should get a list of suppliers.
