Firstly; Used the tent for the first time last week for a couple of days and a section of one of the fibre glass poles split. Being a tunnel tent I wondered whether this is a common occurence or just the "luck of the draw" ?? I've sent the pole back to the supplier and hopefully will get a replacement under warranty but it doesn't leave me feeling very secure.

Secondly; How on earth does the sun canopy attach to the tent? I can't find any info, so if someone has a link or any idea I'd be very grateful.

I purchased a Gelert canopy last year, although I haven't tried it on the tent yet. 

It didn't come with instructions, but it looks pretty straightforward.  Erect the canopy with the poles, there is a long tongue from the canopy that can be drawn over the tent.  That will "Hug" the tent, and it then has two long guy ropes to hunker down either side after.
