Coming up the M5 last week the wife (can’t take credit for spotting this one) notice a trailer that has a roof box fitted on top of the trailer, the trailer still had a cover underneath the box. Has anyone seen this done and know how to do it??
S'easy, just get a set of roofbars for the trailer, and attach the roofbox to the roofbars as normal. Seen loads of these about. Makes alot of sense to me! Might even do it to my trailer for when we go camping!

Why not make life so much easier and simply get a trailer tent
Because I 'did' trailer tents years ago....never liked 'em then, don't like 'em now!And now I have a nice new caravan, which is easier still, but I sometimes like to 'rough' it, and camp in a tent! With 3 growing kids, and a wife in the car, a roofbox on a trailer makes good use of an otherwise dead space, and means more space in the car for said large kids!
Saw a car the other day with a narrow roof box and 2 canoes on the roof, 3 bikes on the back of the car, a trailer with 2 more bikes on a set of roof bars mounted on that.
Might go for something on the trailer to put bikes on myself!
Even with our trailer with high sides we still have loads inside the car. Problem is I was a brownie and hubby was a scout and the brownie motto was be prepared. There is also a rigid top that you can get for our trailer, and roof bars can be fited to this. We hav'nt got one yet but watch this space!!!
After the main mob left Bruce's a co-worker of mine arrived with Hubby and kids in their VW Camper towing a trailer. The trailer had a roofrack fitting which held 4 bikes, this was removed (large split pins held it to the trailer corner posts) turning it into a bike stand when laid on the ground - very impresive, hubby then set about removing a frame tent and all the equipment from the trailer. Along with then they had some friends who had a Renault Scenic towing another camping trailer, this one had the roofbox fitted to it in similair fashion, bothe were constructed by my friends husband and worked well. I have seen variations of these before but must admit that these looked very profesional.
It wasn't them on the M5 as they decided to stay at Bruces till last Tuesday and then came home!
You can see the trailer with the roofbox and the Bike rack (detached) in the background of this picture!
I saw a trailer with a roofbox on it lastweek on the M5 too.
Tell me something ,if we were all in the same place at the same time how come I've still never seen a sticker!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a Green Citroen Xsara Picasso that goes from Yate to Junction 14 Falfield, down to Junction 21 Weston –Super –Mare, from Junction 21 to Weston Hospital. And back again each day, can’t miss it, has a Mickey Mouse on aerial and UK Camping sticker in rear window.
we have just brought a little trailer for our camping and we purchased the hard top for it and the roof bars so we can add our roof box to it and bike racks.

Don't forget to bring your bikes to Kenmore, some excellent cycle routes in the area!
