Hello, Calor blue cylinders & Camping Gaz are the same gas (Butane). Calor cylinders are cheaper to buy & re-fill, they are available at just about every camp site, camping shop, general store & garage in the countryside throughout the UK. Other brands are even cheaper. The advantage of Camping Gaz is that their cylinders are available throughout Europe. People who go camping abroad often use Gaz for this reason. Gaz cylinders are available in a range of smaller sizes too. Many people on this forum recomend going to your local Council waste site & charming the attendant for a cylinder someone has thrown away. A neat bit of recycling. Both cylinders will work just about any gas stove with a hose connection but the gas regulators are different. I carry one of each. They fasten on with a Jubilee clip.
As for kitchens, go for something with a metal top. we used to stand the cylinder on the floor with about 1.5 metres of hose.
