There seems to be two. One that has fat handles that stick out horizontally and one that has handles that stick up slightly. Are they both the same quality with the same type of cooking surface? Has anyone seen both?

Errm don't know, I think ours just stick out the side BUT we've had to get CADAC to send new plastic bits to go over the handles as the first ones broke when we travelled with it. I wonder if they have changed the design to avoid a problem?

We're after a paella dish (but trying to justify so much money for a cooking surface that i've managed without for 2 yrs!) i have only seen the ones that stick up slightly, but to be honest I haven't really noticed the handells, just look longingly at them!

If you find a cheap one let us know, lol!

Thanks anyway. I keep looking at them longingly too. I saw one of them in Go Outdoors and it looked fantastic. It had the same type of non stick surface as the griddle, I've found the skottel tends to stick and being so big is a beggar to wash up. It was £40 though which I just couldn't justify at the time. Some day.....

That's one of the reasons we have the paella pan, we found the skottle stuck and was a bit of a problem to wash up (interestingly our buddy has a much older Cadac where the skottle is very non stick). We only take the paella pan with us as it such multi functional we leave the rest at home.

I was thinking the same Piglet that I could probably get away with taking just the paella pan when I get one. It's top of my list now, definitely!

With Debcon on this we measured the cadac and bought a non stick one from normal shop for a fraction of the cadac price, Works brilliantly

The real bonus I've just realised is that you can also leave out the whole black bottom bit if you take the paella pan so that makes the pack size much smaller.
