If you look at the bottom pic of my gallery there is a rubber.....(I don't know what?).

It's attached to the bottom of the porch. I'm thinking it could be used to peg-out, although there is a guy rope loop also attached, so maybe not.

I should stress that the very limited instructions that came with the tent were very vague, and so many things are left to guess-work (well certainly for a novice like me!), such as this rubber attachment.

Any help is most appreciated.

Hi John

We have similar rubbers on our Guadeloupe. They are just a different type of pegging rubber with which you can vary the height/tension at which you peg. In my experience they are not that strong and tend to go porous pretty quickly, so i've replaced mine with standard grey ones!

They are called ladder pegging points, just varies the height you can peg at .

That looks as though it has been added at some point,they are not standard cabanon fittings that originally came attached to the tent.

We've just used our new Guadeloupe and it has the same pegging rubbers - so they are the originals.

Did that rubber come on a new Noumea? I have Cabanon frame tents and never had one on any of those.

I think with the pyramid style tents it gives a bit more flexibility when tensioning.

We have them all round our awning just adjustable ladders for pegs on uneven ground like Debbie said

Yep, we have 'ladder rubbers' on our second hand Guadeloupe and the side canopy which was bought new. They couldn't be added anyway as they are a sealed loop!
