Hi Nel ..... have a look here .....

Mines on now ..... heating some pies

We took it away this weekend ..... great for jacket spuds, done in an hour

And loads of other foods .... we use it as we would the home oven ..... even done a Porter cake (for Christmas) in it - and muffins

Good watching things cooking .....

I brought mind from one of the shopping channels for less the £30 - it's a name I have never heard of and did not come with any instructions!!! so I was a bit miffed!

But have to say it has been great,  have cooked a chicken in it, an apple pie, pork chops and some bread that you warm up!!

looking forward to doing more!!! but as I said had no instructions so don't know if I can put water in it and stew etc!

regards

Sue

That's the trouble with them they have few instructions and what instructions there are, are mostly gobbledegook with peculiar translations from the Chinese.
Total failure first time I used mine. Asked OH to bring me a chicken and he came home with this huge bird - sure it was a turkey in disguise. Not to be daunted, I placed it in the halogen oven and set it going. Three hours later I was trying to cook it and finish it off in the oven as the juices had been running red! (yuck, we would all have ended up in hospital!)
I eventually managed it and it won't put me off using it in the future. I would use a smaller chicken and place breast side down first as when you cook it upright the bottom part of the bird doesn't cook properly (not with the size of the monster I ended up with) In that way I think you can be successful. I have not experimented too much with it at the moment but will be doing.
