We have just got some new sleeping bags. They are eurohike adventurer 200 they are 2 season bags and say the comfort is 0-30 extreme is -10
We went camping over may bank holiday it wasn't that cold and the kids were like toast but me and hubbie who also had our king duvet were freezing all night.
We had these and they are not warm at all, investing in better bags will make you much warmer, more comfortable and you should get a better nights sleep
They don't sound very good if you were still cold with a duvet as well.
Did you have anything under the sleeping bags , on top of your beds?
I put a plastic backed picnic blanket on top of the airbed, this stops cold coming through the airbed.
another thing you could try is a fleece liner inside the bag. You could make one yourself, just sew up the bottom and side of a fleece blanket.
Sleeping bag descriptions are notoriously misleading, this is a regular topic on here. Two seasons mean Summer & late Spring/early Autumn. You will notice the cold in them even in July. I wouldn't be comfortable in less than a 3 season bag, even then the descriptions & specifications vary wildly. What you put beneath you will also make a big impact. You need insulation below you like a foam mat. Airbeds are quite cold to sleep on. We take a fan heater too & leave that on low when it is cold overnight.
Yes, definitely something on top of the air bed, or go for the foam mats like thermarest. Rather than replace the sleeping bags, you could get fleecy liners - these are just fleece sleeping bags which go inside the actual sleeping bag. I like to be really warm at night so usually use mine even in France in summer, but if it is too hot, you can just have one or other.
We put thermal backed picnic blankets on the ground, then put a thremal sheepskin topper (from Dunelm Mill and the best thing we ever bought!) and a fitted sheet on top of the airbed. Sleeping bag and if it's really cold we take fleece blankets too.
We went away for the May bank holiday and my middle son was too hot and ended up just using his fleece blanket!!
Two seaon sleeping bags are mainly for the warmer weather. Totaly inappropriate for the colder months. It is always adviced on here is to buy a good quality sleeping bag, but still take extra insulation as the others above have adviced. You shouldnt have any problem with the cold. well hopefuly not
What you will find without insulation underneath you're sleeping bag you're body heat will be lossed as the cold air in the air bed will be sapping it all away! I usually put a couple of fleece blankets underneath the sleeping bag as this also helps with the condensation problem!! ( It is normal to find damp patches on the the airbed in the mornings) First time thought we'd all had accidents during the night!!!!!

Best keep off the baked beans
We have the exact same bags. We were cold too. I think the bag are fairly useless. My husband zips 2 of the bags into one, (Yes it is a bit awkward, 2 feet,2 hoods) and then wraps a blanket around him, I have a new thick sleeping bag and a blanket. Rugs on top of the airbed, hot water bottles and socks, and we are warm. Not very intimate, but warm !!

Another vote here for the Dunelm Thermal Sheepskin Toppers. They're only about £9 for the double size and are brill.
