Im sure I already posted on this thread - but its vanished now ( grrr )

I bought a full cylinder of E-bay for £26 sold locally -  weighed it and yes its full - its had a spray-job but like others say - you loose the cylinder when you swap it in -  the covers that CGI  make are £3.99 typically and certaily make the bottle look a lot neater !

Iv been quoted £17 for a refil when its due - local hardware shop !

After a bit of research, it turns out the Camping Gaz ones are also filled by Calor UK, and can be obtained from...

Eltham DIY
120 West Mount Road
Eltham
SE9 1UT

020 8850 1781

No connection personally, just it took me all morning to find this information!

I have also spoken to someone at Polhill garden centre, and they are going to be stocking more than just the "patio gas" soon, I mentioned there seems to be a shortage of Camping Gaz suppliers locally, so they may well start stocking this.

Just found out while typing this that Calor Direct also supply the Camping Gaz - 020 8312 3368,Delivered to your door! (Current refill prices are
904 - £17.99
907 - 19.99

They also do a 4.5KG Butane cylinder (twice as much gas than the larger camping Gaz cylinder) for £13.25 refill (Cylinder costs £29.99 if you don't have one)

Hope this helps!

I'm in Hurstpierpoint near Cuckfield and I've a couple of spare 907 cylinders which are available for a £5 donation to the Macmillan cancer charity.

I use Camping Gaz abroad as Calor refills (at less than half C Gaz price) are only available in U.K.

Never mind Camping Gaz - It'll be cheaper to convert to Calor Gas. I bought a 4.5kg (full) cylinder off the 'eebster' for £12!

The 907 Camping Gaz cylinder at my local supplier costs £18.99 to fill (2.7kg)

The 4.5kg Calor gas cylinder costs £13.50 to fill.

MORE GAS FOR LESS MONEY

They both are filled with exactly the same gas (butane)... so WTF??

(The calor gas regulator cost me a fiver)

Many thanks all.

As my folding camper has 2 x 4.5 Calor Gas containers I have decided to ditch the more expensive 907 and buy a regulator for the 4.5 Calor gas.

This way it is one less gas container (and its space taken) to take with us.

Not too far from Sidcup or Mottingham so will check it out.

Once again many thanks.

I know it's a while since you posted this offer but if you still have a spare 907 for a £5.00 donation I would love to have one. I can collect. Please phone me on 07841533903 or alternatively, text me and I'll phone you.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Got one from local car boot and the other from the back of an old factory i had to clear, both about half full but changed one for a new full bottle ready for this season.

Our local tip will not let you have any gas bottles, i think they have a cash deal with someone who takes them off them. They told me it was health & safety issue.
