hi i have just broken a pole 9.5mm . I bought a new one got the elastic out ok how on earth do you get it back? I have tried putting sellotape on the end but wont go thru the hole, tied a needle to the end still wont, Help what do i do.
I am sure someone will come along with a better idea but i would open up a wire coat hanger if you have one and straighten it out. push through the pole then attach the elastic and pull back through the pole.
have you singed the end of the elastic in a flame ? then try dropping it down through the pole .
if that doesnt work , try winding some fuse wire tightly around the end of the elastic and pushing the wire through first.
When I bought a spare pack of elastic, it came with a wire threader, but I found I couldnt attach the elastic to the wire with tape as per instructions, it was too thick to thread . I burnt the end of the elastic and it went through okay without the wire.
ive tried both those. It seems as the elastic is to thick to go in but it cant be as it came out the pole. I have done one pole the one that has no metal at the ends, Its the ones with the metal on just cant get it thru.
