Yes it's essential camping equipment! (For us, anyway. Want to try a nine hour drive with two kids without one???)

Our old one has finally died after years of worthy service. So I am looking for an in-car DVD player with the following features..

1) Twin screen.

2) Charges up while in the car so can get a couple of hours in the tent even without EHU.

3) Err...that's it, really! Unless there's any other features you might suggest?

4) Oh, and a reasonable price.

Thanks.

Hi we bought the twin screen dual dvd player from argos and the advantage these have is that each player works independantly from the other or can be linked, so they can be playing different dvd's or linked and both play the same which is a bonus when you have a 12yr old and a 8yr old ! They both have rechargable batteties built in or work from 240v/12v so will work without plugging in. They work brilliantly and have never had a problem.

it's the Acoustic solutions dual portable dvd player ASVM6271 set.

How about a pair of Ipods . No dvds to tote around , multi function , no argueing , rechargeable ( buy a freeloader ) and easy to hide away from prying eyes.

Don't mess about with cheap rubbish.

Next base - individual units that can be linked or plugged together. Wireless headphones if required.

Not the cheapest - get wot u pay for!!

These look good but where does the DVD disc go.  I can see that the screen may flip up is that it? Also wouldn't match my cars interior but if it stops the kis chelping who cares!!
