You may get a tow bar on E bay as I did 2 years ago for £35.00 only a few miles away. When I went to picked it up he helped me fit it.My electrics were done at my local car electric autos with scotch locks and a buzzer for another £35.00

Mine was fitted last month for less than £200, I have a Subaru Forester 4WD.
If I had gone to Subaru for the fitting it would have cost me £550, but I went to a local independant 4WD servicing place and they sorted me out no problems.

Paid £100ish for a Mondeo tow bar with single electrics and a mate who knows what he is doing fitted it with hubby helping him. Took about an hour and a half, hardest bit was getting the bumper off to cut.
Not sure we can get him to do the next one though... although he is going to remove the towbar for us if we don't sell the car before we trade it in, as I reckon it will sell on Ebay, it seems an imposition to keep asking him.
Hi just had a tow bar fitted to my ford galaxy by towequipe, went for a detachable one because of the parking sensors already fitted. Fitter came to the house and fitted it on the driveway cost me £300 with lifetime guarantee. seemed fairly straightforward to fit if you wanted to do it yourself.
I got my towbar from Towequipe too. Very good guys to deal with. Decided to fit it myself as they are too far from me to have them fit it as well ( they were charging £150 to supply and fit with single electrics). Ended up costing the £100 for the towbar itself. Fitted to an Old Ford Galaxy. I would recommend the Towequipe site/company. I had a slight "duh" moment in tyring to fit it and called them. Was told someone would call back to walk me through the issue and I though "yeah right" - however someone did call but luckily I figured it out as they are not hard to fit.
I wouldnt risk fitting one myself with the moden electrics and specific torque settings for the bolts.. I paid £225.00 for my vectra 08 and they fitted the vauxhall specific towbar electrics they also came out to the house and did it also with a lifetime guarantee certificate. www.advancedtowing.co.uk if you live near manchester they do mobile fitting as well which is quite useful.
We had a towsure towbar fitted onto our Kia Sportage last week, and it was £200.00 all in, with standard electrics. They did not need to cut the bumper either, so very pleased, it was fitted by a Towsure recommended garage that only do bars and car electrics.
Best advice is to phone around a few garages and get a quote, and ask if the bumper needs to be cut, some do, some don't.
paid around £160 i think all in for our towbar and dedicated specific wiring kit which plugged into the cars wiring loom hence no chopping of wires on the wifes focus last year, fitted it myself which took a couple of hours with tea breaks...bought from www.towbarsdirect.co.uk

I contacted Bosal last week to find out if the "Bosal Oris-Matic" towbar was available for the new Golf MK6 HatchBack, as my company car is being changed over in July, and I have already found out that the towbar currently fitted to my Mk5 will not fit the Mk6!, anyway I was told by Bosal that the "Oris-Matic" was only available for prestigious cars!, and that it was very expensive, well that put me in my place.
Hi Francais,
Seems strange information you were told there as their website lists the oris-matic as available for the Astra, CMax & Focus, obviously newly lifted to the prestgious car range.
We paid around £220 last September to have one fitted to our Zafira this was the total price including VAT. I enquired if we changed the car this year could we have it re-fitted, he quoted £100 all in to remove it and re-fit it to another car at a later date. I thought that was very good.
