Another vote for the Coleman petrol stove.
The main burner on the Coleman is certainly much more powerful than any of the gas stoves camping friends have. I'd say that the auxiliary burner is of a more similar output to a gas burner - maybe a little less.
But the main burner is the only stove I've used that will make toast on one of those 'pyramid ' toasters, gas stoves just don't get it hot enough.
If I was to buy a gas stove, I'd look at one of the cast iron burner type ones - some of these give out a much higher output.
This one would do the business I reckon
