Does anyone have any experience of the Aerobed.  I would like a double size and I would like it raised if possible.  My back is still aching from my camping trip at the weekend and need to find something more comfortable to sleep on.  Any advice welcome!  I am confused by the comfort, active, explorer, premium,,,,,,,,,,,,I just want a double off the ground that is the MOST comfortable x

We had an aerobed, but the one we had always felt like you were going to roll off, even though it had like a stabilising blowed up part to the base.  We changed it to a restmor one and this felt more stable to us. I have a bad back and definately full height helped this, I don't think I could of managed sleeping on one of those low ones.  We now have a folding camper so the beds are built in.

I recently bought a Premier Raised King Aerobed, brilliant brilliant brilliant bed!

I slept on it at home and it was sooooooooo comfy

Was a bit optomistic about whether I would feel the cold when camping, we used it last week and I was the warmest I have ever been camping.

I would thoroughly recommend it

Keep an eye on the aerobed website, we got ours when they had them on sale (try Sundays as they seem to do one day offers now and again) and got it for £65 with a discount code.

i bought an aerobed king sized raised a few weeks ago and we used it for the first time last weekend,i suffer from a bad back and the wife is pregnant and sleeping on the aerobed was the best nights sleep we have ever had camping,it stayed up all weekend too without needing any more air added as we find the normal low one's  need a top up with air either before going to bed or in the middle of the night lol

Hi Robyn4life,

May be worth checking out the Intex frame bed as well. We got one a few months back having had the same issues as you and having also tried a raised bed without a frame and found it rather unstable towards the edges, but that may just be because im too fat !!!

The Intex bed has a bed frame with headboard and then a separate matrice that fits inside the bed frame which makes it incredibly stable even at the very edge. You can also alter the pressure between the two parts to get the ideal firmness that you want without loosing support.

The only drawback is that as far as we know they are only available in queen size and depending on your tent it may not fit but to give you an idea as to how comfy the bed is we changed our tent so that it fitted !!!

Just checked on the web and www.only-airbeds.co.uk have the Intex Deluxe Frame bed on offer was £204.95 now down to £119.65.

We've got the raised "Bestway" bed. Similar and very comfy.

We've just come back from 5 nights in Cornwall using our Aerobed Explorer (double) for the first time and it was fantastic. Really comfortable, just topped it up once after the first night to make it a bit firmer.

Highly recommended.
