After a weekend away in the New Forest in our Fleetwood Heritage, my 82 year old disabled Mum is now addicted to coming caravanning with us!
But she has difficulty getting up our normal 2 step caravan access steps. So we have been looking for "stylish" alternatives - as opposed to a "Dad Made" version in 2"X4"!!!!
We have looked at the Dukdalf step with side rail but at around £100 it seems a bit pricey. and the static caravan steps are incredibly bulky and heavy.
What we'd really like is the big round semi- circular steps that the manufacturers use at trade shows - about 3 feet diameter, chromed with a chequer-plate non-slip top - there is a small version avaialable called a mega-step but it really isn't big enough to allow one of us able-bodied to stand alongside her to steady her.
Anyone know where we might get a "trade show" set???? Trish
Hopefully have managed to find a 2nd hand set of the dukdalf steps as an interim measure - but would still like to track down the trade show version so welcome any leads!
I have the same prob with my elderly mum,I have these and have put a handle on the side of my van.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
