I have searched high and low for a satellite receiver that offers 12v/240v and RF output. I think it might be called RF or UHF modulator on some models. Does anyone know of a good one please?

Hy Mynyddr.

                   The Comag receivers Maplin/Lidl etc have 12volt although some are mains only, as for RF you can buy a gadget that will convert the scart/av out to an RF channel, not sure why you would want to do that for the reasons, Liam mentions, if you need a Sky box for the subscriptions channels, the the Sky Mini-Box runs of 12Volt and has RF Out, no RF out on my Comag, although I would not reccomend a Sky box for camping if you are only after the FTA channels. hope that helps.

            That is a Terrestrial receiver not a Satellite receiver, you will have the OP quite confused now!.

No it's OK I'm not confused.  Spotted it straight away, but hey thanks for the pointers anyway. 

Reason for RF is purely that the existing small 7" telly recently bought has no scart.  We are not really great telly watchers (as you probably gather) so don't need anything fancy.  We are mountain walkers often in need of a good quality forecast and have had trouble getting signal with freeview so having to go down satellite option.  Definitely do not want thousands of garbage channels.  Quite happy with The Beeb.
