Can't help with the 2 companies you mention but did buy a satellite dish/tripod setup from a company called netgagdets on ebay. Good product and service, all worked on our first trip in the UK.
i made up my own a tripod, second hand box and sky dish from e-bay for less than £60 then take my sky card with me you can get freeview without card in, not sure how it would work aboard good luck anyway.
I got the 65cm dish, tall tripod, setting up kit and a heavy duty tie-down kit. All of which should be able to produce a good signal practically all the way down to, and including, the south of France. The proof will come in August when we get down there!

Same here, but I did it via a car boot
Tripod (old camera one) £5
Skybox £5
Sky dish £20 off ebay (but people give them away these days since the change to Sky+)
For those using a Sky box for the FTA/FTV channels without using a Sky Freesat card, Ch5 will not appear unless you program the channel in yourself via the add channels menu, easy to do but just another ruse to make you contact Sky, with a view to them turning you into a subscriber, you have to admire Rupert and his gang, they never seek to miss an oportunity to get money out of folk, worst case cenario is that they sell you a Freesat card for £20, when in actual fact you need pay nothing to receive the FTA/FTV UK satellite channels.
Wow what a site, thanks again Michael, all you need to know, so informative for the general layman, Michael you must be king of the links, used your links a few times, once again thank you. Phil.
