Hi all

we just bought a new (to us) bradcot awning with easy up alloy poles. It went up with ease as promised 17 but unfortunately went over the van with the same ease17.

Now I know to use threaded pegs in some places, I still have the problem of replacing some broken and bent poles.

any one got any ideas or places to look as the local caravan centre to us has given me 3 DIFFERENT things to do. I gladly did the first 2 but lost the will to live after being told to bring in the paperwork which was no use the 1st or 2nd time17. Please any help or contact info would be very much appreciated.

Big thanks

 Mark

I've heard different comments on here about Bradcot's ability in supplying spares.

Mine went over the caravan as well, and bent some poles.

I managed to buy a old spare set at my local caravan dealers. It's not easy to find them so don't give up.

There are only two pole designs, those with 2 parts, and those with 3 parts

I eventually sold some through this site, then sold a full set via eBay. So you'll just have to keep trying I'm afraid.

To be honest, if it was me, I'd sell the rest of the poles you have and buy a normal steel pole set. You would probably break even on the deal.

you can buy a new set of steel poles much better and stronger

we have a bradcot awning it is very nice but we have had problems with the alloy poles bradcot are helpful and will sell you new or extra poles but we have been thinking of just buying a new set. i think some one on here said that you dont have to buy bradcot if you dont want just make sure you buy poles for the correct size awning. i think NR or doreema are ok.

All done and dusted now thank you all very much. Went to caravan shop in gloucester and they were ace. Had some odd poles outside and there was a left corner set and a right corner set. Also a complete set. I took the left corner set and was very happy to £5 for it.So happy I bought £15 worth of pegs, had a good chat and as the £5 was for a beer tin I gave another £5 and took the right corner set just in case.It was the same group as the one in Cheltenham ( which I didnt know at time) but with one main difference THE STAFF DIDNT SSHHHH ME they listened and were a very good bunch. I will be travelling that bit further to get the help I need in future.

Thanks again everyone
