hi all i have a Leisure Battery that is about 3 years old and it wont hold a charge for long say aboue 4-5 hours can this Battery be salvaged or dose it want scraping

also can i link 2 Battery together and will thay still get a charge from the mains charger fitted to the caravan

the van is a 1998 abby stafford

Yes and yes!

If the battery's discharging that quickly I suspect it's beyond saving.

No prob linking two batteries in parallel (i.e. positive to positive, negative to negative) if you really need the extra capacity. Just bear in mind the extra weight.

Sounds like the battery is shot and needs chucking.

Would there be room in the battery locker for two batteries? Why do you need the extra power? They do weigh a lot. How about using a solar charger to keep the one topped up when you are camping without EHU?

I bought one last week locally, I up graded from a 75ah to a 110 ah it is an inch larger all around from my old but fits in ok, £64 but they knocked me a fiver off as I did them a favour  so £59 I thought that was a bargain
