Hi again,

We went and bought the Lidl wardbrobe for £9.99  a couple of weeks ago and put it together last night on a trial run.  Its great, everything we wanted but ................. its massive!  Not sure it will fit in our tent! (G.Cadiz 5)  It's nearly 5ft4 tall!  Although it would fit in the middle of the bedroom we can't leave it there!

We had the idea of not making it full height by leaving off the top bit (above the shelf) as although it means the cover will be a bit baggy it'll still give us somewhere to store our clothes.

Has anyone else tried anything like this?  Is it successful?

I bought one of those last year, and it is too big for what I wanted. Lidls' new policy is not to exchange unless faulty, so the wardrobe is gathering dust in my garage. A bit of a waste, but I do not know anyone that wants or needs one!

When we had a trailer tent and went camping with my hubby, I bought an adjustable hanging rail from Argos, price now £6.40.  Not the sturdiest of things but did the job.  I would have preferred one with a cover but didn't want to lug it around.

Now no longer have trailer tent, so the thing is left in the loft so that we travel lighter.  Our clothes stay in piles on the bedroom floor of the tent, so now we look like tramps as well - never mind!!! LOL

The day I gave birth I threw out all my Dry Clean only clothes and the ironing board hasn't been out for 18 months. So far no one seems to have noticed my stretched clothing!! If you leave clothes lying about on the floor long enough, people will walk across them and flatten out the creases!!!

cheers

I think I like Jules' option - anyone want an ironing board???????!!

Seriously, we are going to take it and try it over the Aug. BH weekend, so if anyone else is at Horsham that weekend and you see a wardbrobe free standing outside a tent you know who it belongs to!

My OH suggested if we can't use it at a wardbrobe use it to put and bucket with lid in so it really would be a privvy! OMG! Can I trade him in please! Going cheap to a good home, but prefer part ex on a George Cloonely lookalike!
