Hi all,

Just seen this on eBay and wondered if anyone here has one and what it's like? It says it works from 240 or 12v too so excellent for in the caravan!

I just bought one off Ebay this week and tried it out last night. I had a 3litre wine box. The inside of the Husky is egg-shaped and I found that the tap on the bag does not sit easily in the slot provided because the bag is NOT egg-shaped! When the bag is full the lid of the Husky will not shut properly. I would guess you would need to remove 3 or 4 glasses worth of wine before it would.

I was expecting the wine to chill quickly but it seemed to take the same length of time as putting a bottle in the fridge. This could be because the lid would not close, and it might work better when the bag is less full.

Also, the unit takes up quite a large footprint on the worktop.

I have only had it a day, but so far I would give it about 4 out of 10.

PS - the publicity photos make it look like it is finished in a nice stainless steel, but mine is in spray-paint silver and in several places the paintwork is not that good (with scuff-marks etc.), and it has dimples in the plastic etc. so the aesthetic effect is not that great. I always think that if the quality control on the outside isn't up to much it probably is the same deal on the inside.

Before I bought this one I emailed the company to ask a question and never got a reply, so I am wondering if they are still in business.

The unit is fitted with a mains plug. No sign of a 12v connection.

to be honest i just freeze my wine bag and then put it in my cool box. Helps keep my food cool and defrosts enough to have a cold glass when you have pitched if you take it out for a bit17

If it works as good as it looks....then I wouldn't bother!
