Propane and butane are LPGs, so those connectors are fine.
I'd take the 1.5m maximum thing with a pinch of salt. I've run longer runs with no problems at all! As per the post above, the only issue could be the unburnt gas escaping, but it's a very small quantity. The only other annoyance could be the amount of time it takes to light, as the air in the pipe would have to be displaced before the gas comes through and the appliance will light. :)

BES are well expensive!! We got ours from here: theyre £9.99 delivered, but we made an offer and got ours for like £7!!
Are you reading the posts Mia ??
BES £3.25 plus VAT plus delivery.
The URL you have posted (several times) £9.99
I bought 4 and had them all delivered from BES for £21.88, same quantity at Gas products direct would have cost £39.96.
I see the Gas products Direct Shop is based in Norwich, same as you. Surprised you did not just pop around and pick them up.
Don't look like BES is that expensive after all.
Hmmmm 12 posts and 5 of them singing the praises of Gas Products Direct. Am I missing something here ?

Aztec Galeria 4 - For weekend camping
Sunncamp Grange Cotton canvas frame tent - For the longer stays.
Yeah ive read the posts. someone said postage for BES is £5 so thats £20 postage for 4 of them??
we made an offer on ours and got them from the ebay shop. theyre about half an hour away from us so its cheaper to have them posted most of the time. have got some stuff from their offices tho. nice people hence the recommendations, thats all!
also BES are rubbish on the phone. unless you know the exact part number they wont help you! i rang up cos i wasnt sure which bits i needed to connect cylinder up to out bbq and patio heater and they couldnt care less! hence why i shopped elsewhere, with the ebay people you can phone them up and theyll talk you through it, plus if you ring them up they can give you a lower price cos theres none of the ebay fees and stuff.
i'v just added a picture to my gallery of my spare "T" connector (strangely you have to click on image 3 to see it) for the life of me i cannot find any the same even on dedicated gas suppliers
it works well the tap switches off the middle connector so you need to just connect the hose to the fridge to use it ,when your on EHU you leave the fridges hose by the gas cylinder outside with an ear defender gently plugged in to stop dirt and beasties taking residence.
the gas comes in one side of the "T" and out the other for the cooker
