We use a 904 campingas bottle for our campingas camping chef stove. You can also use a 907 bottle (bigger than the 904). If you want a cheaper alternative then use calor gas. The gas you use really depends on the regulator that you have. If you bought the stove with a campingas regulator then the above campingas bottle is your only option but if you want the calor gas then you have to buy another regulator for this. hope this makes sense.17

Try to get a secondhand cylinder at the tip, scrapmetal yard (have got a couple free from tip and scrapyards )
freecycle, ebay, carboot sale , free ads , then you just take it and they exchange it for a full one.

A campingaz 907 , or a calorgas 4.5kg is the most convenient size , but you will need the correct regulator for whichever cylinder , and a rubber hose with jubilee clips each end to attach it .

Any size calor gas cylinder can be exchanged for a 4.5kg one . Otherwise, a deposit of £30 is need for the calor cylinder , or £45 deposit for a campingaz cylinder, (non refundable ). calor gas is cheaper for refills than campingaz too, calor 4.5kg £13.50, campingaz 907 holds 2.7kg gas and costs about £19 .

You can order refills (they deliver you a full bottle and you hand back the empty one ) off the calorgas website and they will deliver anywhere for £4.99

If you have a gas bbq and have a cylinder for this, this will also be okay to use, with the regulator off the bbq.

We have converted to the BP Gaslight bottles as they are cheaper to refill than the Campingaz & you can see how much if left in it?

Sorry no you cannot.Do you intend to go abroad?? if not then get a 'Calor gas(blue , butane)you should have some hose in your bag the cooker came in? now if you get calor bottle you will need a regulator to fit this bottle.

If you intend to go abroad you will need a 'Campingaz bottle' and the correct regulator to fit it.

No. The Chef needs a gas bottle (propane or butane) plus the appropriate regulator. The cheapy screw in cannisters are for the one burner suitcase type stoves.
