We are about to embark on a number of 2-3 night camping (Tent) trips with no EHU , and I am trying to figure out the best way to power a portable fridge.
The fridge has mains and 12v(cigarette) lighter leads.

The fridge keeps it cool REALLY well , and just a few hours a day should do it.

I have seen these portable solar briefcases , are they any good ? , how do you connect the fridge ?

Someone else suggested getting a second car battery fitted that charges via the car, but has a seperate 12v socket that is always on.
Where do you get this done ? , how much does it cost ?

Basically I have no idea to go from a generator/car to the fridge , what equipment is needed etc. , I need alot of help !

The battery would only charge the fridge when the engine is running . If you try to run the fridge off a battery without engine going it will be drained flat in no time .

The best you can do is plug the fridge in every time the car is in use. freeze as much food /drink as possible to keep everything cold and keep the fridge in the shade

No the solar panel is not big enough.

£30 quid to put in a second charger in boot + cost of second battery and you would still be in the same position.

Bottom line is fridge needs too much power for stored electric.

If it's a coolbox type then freeze 4pint milk bottle filled with water and as much food as you can before you go.  That will last you 3/4 days no problems.  Keep it in the shade and don't leave the lid open any more than absolutely necessary.

If we should get a heat wave and you bottle of water defrosts then the lid is the right size to be refilled with supermarket ice.
