I am trying to decide on what sleeping bags to buy.

I need two mummy style ones (for the kids) and two envelope style so that they can be zipped together (if wanted, heeee).  We camp from early May even April (sometimes) right up till Sep/Oct. Im on a slight budget so I carnt pay to much but want a good bargain.

I have been searching endlessly for hours just trying to decide. I need help from people that have good sleeping bags and recomend them.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFULL 17

We've just bought:

(1) For the kids, Quechua S10 bags (about £12) from Decathlon.

(2) For us, Coleman Hudson 300 for me and Hudson 450 for the missus. Each was under £25 from Amazon.

Initially I'd bought a vango nitestar 300 SQ for me but it came up small, it was supposed to be 215cm x 80 cm but actually measured 200cm x 74cm. The Coleman's aren't quite as good materials as the Nitestars but they're good enough for the job and at least we can zip them together now.

I should add that the kids have told us they prefer just to have a duvet rather than the sleeping bags in which they feel too restricted. So a fitted fleecy sheet on the airbed and the duvets off their beds were used last weekend.

Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.

Hi Petegt4,

We may be getting a couple of Hudson 450s to zip together but don't seem to be able to find a site that sells both left and right zip versions...

Where did you get yours from? Amazon have them for £25 at the moment but there is no choice of Zip preference.

Many thanks 17

Only managed to find one site that does both and they are £45 each 17

Cheers

I don't like sleeping bags, too restricting, and take the duvet.

I'm 100% sure about this but...

I don't think you need opposite (ie left and right) zipped bags. We have the same bags as Debbie and both have the same zip side. They zip together perfectly.
