If you really can't live without one (and it saves wiping down awkward slats too), why not try one of these pvc or vinyl cloths?

They come in fab colours and patterns to match retro and modern campers (and no, I'm not a sales person just found them and liked them). I like the funky flowers but OH is s a bit more trad in his tastes so looks like yellow gingham for us.

poundland have also got nice plastic tablecloths in and they match the tableware.

I use a tablecloth to stop things sliding too easily on out plastic table.

The lightest weight one that I use is an arab scarf!

It looks good on the table as it is red and white (almost looks a bit like gingham).

It has the added advantage of being able to be used as a scarf to keep off the sun/wind etc.

 Dunhelm mill sellthe same stuff (judging by the pics),they sell it by the metre,i use it at home when the kids are painting and stuff! The grass one could be fun!

Brilliant Dunelm Mills - love it. John Lewis do some but this company seem to have a good price and great colour range (I actually wanted plain yellow). Does anyone know anywhere that sells Teflon coated fabric, thinner than vinyl/pvc but equally wipe-clean and forget-about-able?

I'll leave the proper linen to the Outwell clan...
